Frances Lovelace Oates, 86

Frances Lovelace "Fran" Oates, 86, of Golden Valley, died Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Grace Hospital, Morganton.
She was the widow of Harry G. "Bud" Oates, Jr. and a daughter of the late Joseph Edgar Lovelace and Airleen Rayburn Lovelace.  She was a dedicated member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Chapman and her husband Michael of Golden Valley; her granddaughter, Amanda Hudson Hildebran; 2 great grandchildren, Hayden Cole Crisp and Bethany Sierra Crisp; her great great grandson, Milo William Ray Crisp; her special nieces, Cathy Hollifield, Debbie Toney, and Gail Dotson; a brother-in-law, Paul Toney; a great nephew, Bobby Dotson; a great niece, Kristen Mae Hollifield; her niece/caregiver, Yvonne Bowhall; and a special caregiver, Michelle Walker.
The Funeral will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Fairview Baptist Church. The Rev. John Ware and Rev. David Ledford will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Bobby Dotson, Johnny Hildebran, Hayden Crisp, Bob Grayson, Harold Grayson, Andy Hollifield, and Ron Gurley.
The Visitation will be from 12 pm until 1 pm Wednesday in the church prior to the service.
The family request attendees please wear masks.
