Elizabeth A. Melton

Mrs. Elizabeth A. Melton, 77, of  Bostic, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Fair Haven Home.
She was the daughter of the late Luther and Lela Hastings, and was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ruby Hastings and Lucy Jolley. Elizabeth had a been a member of Concord Baptist Church since 1962.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Melton; her daughter Karen Hoover and her husband Michael, of Stanley; two sons, Donny Melton and his wife Beth, of Jacksonville, FL, and Steven Melton of Ellenboro; four sisters, Blanche Poole of Rutherford College, Mildred Ward of Charlotte, Lola Cook of Casar, and Goldie Jones of Shelby; one brother, Roy Hastings of Casar;  there are three grandchildren, Matthew Melton, Daniel Melton, and Erin Hoover.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Concord Baptist Church. Rev. Travis Laflin will officiate. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Roger Harmon, Anthony Odom, Keith Hudson, Daniel Melton, Matthew Melton, and Bobby Ayers.
The Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm Saturday in the sanctuary of Concord Baptist Church prior to the service.
