Dwight Harmon Hughes, 74

Mr. Dwight Harmon Hughes, 74, of Ellenboro, died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Hospice House, Forest City.
Dwight was the son of the late Floyd and Gertrude Hughes and was also preceded in death by a brother, Ken Hughes; and his previous wife, Anne Dale Hughes. He was an Vietnam Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Morrison Hughes; a son, Johnny Gordon Hughes of Alabama; a stepson, Chris Willis of Spindale; a stepdaughter, Donna Jolley of Hendersonville; there are 5 sisters, Marilyn McSwain of Shelby, Cozette Coats of Cliffside, Donnis Gibson of Washington state, Pat Brown of Forest City, and Diane Hewitt of Charlotte; there are several grandchildren.
The Rutherford County Honor Guard will render Military Rites at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 22, 2016 on the grounds of Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
Following the Military Rites, the family will have a time of visitation until 4 pm at the funeral home.
