Dorothy Lee Moore Murray, 92

Dorothy Lee Moore Murray, 92, of Bostic, died Thursday, October 29, 2021.

She was the widow of Billie Pink Murray, and a daughter of the late Zay and Sallie Hamrick Moore. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Ina Moore Blanton, Gladys Moore Crowe, and Madeline Moore Calhoun. Dorothy attended Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved caring for children. She worked tirelessly in her vegetable and flower gardens. She was happiest when she was outside.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Murray Hyde of Newton, and Angela Murray Turner and her husband Ted, of Mill Spring; her sons, George Murray of Forest City, Danny Murray and his wife Selena, of Gaffney, Tim Murray and his wife Loretta of Bostic; her grandchildren, Alan Hyde and Beth of Kernersville, Sara Hyde Williams and Bradley of Union Grove, Lora Murray of Forest City, Sherry Waters Robinson and Bob of Lovingston,VA, Christy Waters Gettys and Willie of Bostic, Micheil Murray and Toby Cooper, both of Gaffney, SC, Emily Turner Goff and Justin of Mills River, Stephanie Murray Date and Garret of Bostic, Adam Murray and Amy of Ellenboro, and Seth Murray and Emily of Rutherfordton; there are 13 great grandchildren, Matthew and Jonathan Hyde, Ian and Austin Williams, Aden and Alissa Friddle, Willa Gettys, Scarlett Goff, Addison and Anslee Murray, Holden Date, Finley and Archie Murray.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00pm Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Ted Turner will officiate. Pallbearers are Alan Hyde, Micheil Murray, Toby Cooper, Justin Goff, Adam Murray, and Aden Friddle.
