Dorothy Goforth Shell

Mrs. Dorothy Goforth Shell, 85, of Holland Street, Forest City, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Hospice House, Forest City.
She was the widow of Max Shell, and daughter of the late Nollie and Edna Goforth. She was also preceded in death by a son, Doug Shell. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, where she was a choir member, a member of the Singles Again group, and the Women on Missions Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Shell of Forest City, and Andrea Lynn and her husband David, of Mooresboro; a son, Gene Shell and his wife Kim, of Forest City; and a daugher in law, Sharon Shell; there are twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Corinth Baptist Church. Rev. David Jendrey will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 6 PM until 8 PM Wednesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home, and at other times the family will gather at Mrs. Shell's residence.
