Dorothy "Dot" Taylor Ramsey
Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Taylor Ramsey, 74, of 326 Campbell Springs Road, Bostic, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011.
She was the widow of Frank Thomas Ramsey, and daughter of the late Joseph Marcus Taylor and Annie Elizabeth Whisnant Taylor. She was retired from Drexel Heritage after 38 years of service, and was a member of Cooper Springs Congregational Holiness Church. She was a native of Burke County.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Shull of Bostic and Dottie Lake of Spindale; two sons, Johnny Ramsey of Spindale, and Mark Ramsey of Bostic; a sister, Margaret Taylor Epley of Glen Alpine, NC; four grandchildren, Amy Curry of the home, Joseph Ledford of Virginia, Karissia Ramsey of Spindale, and Cole Ramsey of Spindale; numerous nieces and nephews, and a special nephew, Clayton Taylor.
The Funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2011 at Cooper Springs Congregational Holiness Church. Rev. Scott Houston, Rev. Wayne Toney, and Rev. Terry Ware will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM Thursday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
