Mrs. Doris Jean Hoyle, 81, of Bostic, died Sunday, September 24, 2017 at White Oak Manor, Rutherfordton.
She was widow of McKeever Hoyle, who died in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Irona Jones Queen, and her 2 brothers, Ernest Queen and Earl Queen. She was a faithful member of First Broad Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir, the Flower and Decorating Committee, the nursery for sunday school, the preschool department for vacation bible school, and as custodian for the church.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Hoyle, and a son, Marshall Hoyle, both of Bostic; and a niece, Martha Queen Martin.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at First Broad Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Bradley, Rev. Charles Battle, and Rev. Tripp Queen will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Drew Martin, James Ray, Judson McAbee, Ken Hardin, Coy Hill, and Steve Brackett.
The Visitation will be from 2 pm until 3 pm Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
