Donnie Tessnear, 55, of Bostic, died Friday, September 10, 2021 at Atrium Health, Shelby.
Donnie was the son of Don and Louise Tessnear of Bostic. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, and a member of the Pro Logger's Association. He was the owner of Tessnear Logging. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda F. Tessnear. Donnie was an avid motorcycle rider, and was well known in the community for helping people in need.
In addition to his parents, he was survived by his wife, Paula Tessnear; his sister, Lisa Ramsey and her husband Alvin, of Bostic; his brother, Brian Tessnear and his wife Pam, of Mill Spring; his stepson, Jeremy Webb of Nebo; a daughter, Audra Worthy of Spartanburg; 2 stepgrandchildren, Lilly June Webb, Fairran Higgins; a grandson, Abel Worthy; his nieces and nephews, Tyler Ramsey, Austin Tessnear, Britney Guffey, Kasey Edwards, and Caley Tessnear.
The Funeral will be conducted at 4:00 pm Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. The Rev. Paul White, Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tessnear Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mark Hollifield, Tony Spake, Tim Murray, Sean Freeman, Dusty Stafford, Danny Edney, Travis Thompson, and Alex Bennett.
The Visitation will be from 4 pm until 7 pm Monday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
