Mr. Denmon Ray "Pro" West, 79, of Bostic, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at CHS Cleveland.
He was the son of the late Garland and Vicie West, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Jackie West. He served in the US Army for 5 years and became Golf Pro at West Point for 3 years and also various clubs in North Carolina. Since 1987 he has owned Forest City Golf Center in Alexander Mills.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Helen K. West; his daughter, Sarah TenBroeck and husband Timothy Stamper, of Forest City; 2 sons, Charles TenBroeck of Virginia Beach, VA, and Gregg TenBroeck and wife Laura, of Ellenboro; 6 sisters, Doris, Mary, Tina, Joann and husband Fred, Betty Jean, and Virginia and husband Gary: there are 5 grandchildren, Jessica Carroll, Jay TenBroeck, Dylan TenBroeck, Patrick TenBroeck, and Addison TenBroeck.
The family will receive friends at the residence at 3346 Bostic Sunshine Highway, Bostic from 5 pm until 7 pm Friday.
