David Green, 66

David Green, 66, of Forest City, died Friday, May 26, 2023.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Toney Green; and his parents, Baxter and Hattie Green. He worked for many years at Burlington Caroleen plant, and then retired from Western Auto years ago. 

He is survived by his son, Michael Green of the home; his sisters, Patricia Splawn and her husband Donald, and Linda Toney, all of Forest City, and Brenda Toney and her husband Dale, of Boiling Springs, NC;  and his brother, Samuel Green of Mooresboro. 

The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Gantt's Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Lane will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Phillip Green, Johnny Green, Billy Green, Seth Green, James Thrift, and Stephen Mode. 

The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Tuesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
