Cleo Splawn

Mrs. Cleo Murray Splawn, 94, of Forest City, died Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Hospice House, Forest City.
She was the daughter of the late Gaston and Maggie Green Murray; and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Lovelace; a son, Lawrence Lovelace; three sisters, Viola Street, Florence Hoyle, and Lotie Baynard; her six brothers, Alvro Murray, Horace Murray, Monroe Murray, Junior Murray, Willard Murray, and Robert Murray. Cleo retired from Broyhill after 23 years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Splawn; her son, Ray Splawn and his wife Crystal, of Rutherfordton; two sisters, Zaciena Murray and Darcus Murray, of Bostic; 3 grandchildren, Harley Splawn Loper of Ellenboro, Kelcey Splawn and Navada Splawn of Rutherfordton; there are 3 great grandchildren, Kailynn, Hannah, and RJ; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Mountain View Baptist Church. The Rev. Clayton Hartsell and Rev. Wayne Toney will officiate.
A Visitation will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm Monday, March 28, 2016 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
