Charles Raymond Leatherman, 65

Mr. Charles Raymond Leatherman, 65, of Catawba, died Sunday, February 21, 2016.
Charles was the son of the late William S. and Frances B. Leatherman, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Russell Leatherman. He was an Army Veteran, serving from 1975-1986.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela S. Leatherman; four sons, Barry Leatherman (Lorna) of Newton, Raymond Leatherman (Heather) of Mooresville, Greg Leatherman (Krista) of Clyde, and Christopher Leatherman (Christina) of Bealeton, VA; three brothers, Melvin Leatherman (Deborah) of Hixson, TN, Lawrence Leatherman (Lisa) and Michael Leatherman (Brandy), all of Catawba; there are 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be conducted at 1:30 pm Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Bostic. The Rev. Dean Hart will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Pallbearers are Jason Padgett, John Warga, Adrian Leatherman, Jordan Waters, Michael Phillips, and Robert Kiser.
A Visitation will be held from 6:30 pm until 8 pm Tuesday at Startown First Baptist Church, Newton, NC and a second Visitation will be held from 12:15 pm until 1:15 pm Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Bostic. The body will lie in state during visitation hours.
