Charles Cameron Greene, 76

Charles Cameron Greene, 76, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Caromont Regional in Gastonia.

He was the son of the late Morrison and Betty Greene. Charles was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Lois Greene; his son, Robert Greene and his wife Shirley, of Ellenboro; his daughters, Carolyn Poindexter and her husband Shane, of Bostic, and Jennifer Greene of Shelby; his granddaughter, Mackenzie McAbee; and his grandsons, Ryan Greene, Holden Greene, Matthew Poindexter, Dustin Poindexter, Nickolas McAbee, and Trevor McAbee; and his cousins, Angela Bridges, Margaret and Keith Lowery, of Ellenboro. 

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Friday, August 11, 2023 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. Shane Poindexter will officiate. 

The Visitation will be from 1 pm until 3 pm Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heart of The Foothills Animal Rescue, 380 US 221 Hwy North, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
