Carolyn Terry Curtis, 87

Carolyn Terry Curtis, 87, of Ellenboro, died Monday, November 6, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Clemet B. Terry and Jeanette Davidson Terry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, C.B. Terry, Dural Lee Terry and Jerry Franklin Terry; and 4 sisters, Tillie Terry Propes, Maxine Terry Green, Brenda Terry Manley, and Nellie Terry Condrey. Carolyn retired as a seamstress from Doncaster-Tanner where she worked in the sample department. She was also was a CNA working with many cancer patients. A member of Corinth Baptist Church, she also was in the O.A. Fish Bible Study Group, and volunteered at the South Mountain Christian Camp. 

She is survived by her husband, William Talmadge "Bill" Curtis; her daughters, Billie Curtis Herring and Cindy Curtis Hutchins and her husband Roger, of Ellenboro; her sister, Geraldine Terry Gibson of Forest City; and her brother, Bruce Terry of Ellenboro. 

The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Corinth Baptist Church. The Rev. Neil Murray and Rev. Ricky Poteat will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
