Bobby Towery

Mr. Bobby Towery, 81, of 261 Old Caroleen Road, Forest City, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Hospice House, Forest City.
He was the son of the late Robert and Emma Selvey Towery, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Hastings, and a brother, William Junior Towery. Bobby was a retired US Air Force Staff Sergeant, and was a member of the VFW and Tanner's Grove United Methodist Church. Bobby was a former purchasing agent with Fast Food Merchandisers, and more recently was a greeter for 4 Seasons Homes Land, Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Towery; four sons, David Towery of White Sulphur Springs, MT, Jeff Towery and his wife Doris, of  Springfield, Oregon, Kent Park and his wife Sandra, of Asheboro, and Derrick Park and his wife Chris, of Rutherfordton; three sisters, Dorothy Wood of Forest City, Elizabeth Freeman of Polkville, and Gertrude Towery of Broadway, NC; a brother, Fred Towery of Broadway;  grandchildren, Cynthiana Towery, Stephanie Towery, Samantha Park, Kendon Park, Jarad Towery, Cayla Park Partridge, Paige Towery, Brent Park, Brad Park, Ben Park, and Bailey Park; there is one great grandchild, Seliea Towery; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Tanners Grove United Methodist Church. Rev. Wes Craven will officiate.
Burial of the urn will be at  10:00 am Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
