Mr. Bobby Glover, 79, of Ellenboro, died Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Fair Haven Home, Bostic. He was a native of Rutherford County and a son of the late John Leo and Mary Virginia Philbeck Glover. Bobby retired from PPG in Shelby and was a lifetime member of the former Hopewell United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Salem United Methodist Church. His brother, Johnnie Glover and sister, Mary Alice Davis preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley McKinney Glover, a son, Rodney Glover and his wife Tammy of Bostic, a daughter, Rhonda Glover Hardin and her husband Jeff of Bostic, a brother, Wilbur Glover and his wife Thelma of Bostic, and three grandchildren, Christian Glover, Corbin Hardin and Cragan Hardin.
The funeral service will be held at 3pm Monday at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Melinda Penry and his niece, Rev. Susan Mitchell officiating. Burial will be private for the family in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 pm Sunday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral & Cremation Service.
Pallbearers are Chris Glover, Dwayne Glover, Mark Davis, Jerry Warren, Don Ryder, and Don Epley.
