Betty Houser Cromer, 89, of Mooresboro, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at Hospice at Wendover.
A native of Cliffside, she was the loving wife of the late James "Snook" Cromer for 68 years, and a daughter of the late Henry Ealon Houser and Amy Beason Houser. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James "Ricky" Cromer; and 2 of her brothers, Billy Joe Houser and Buddy Ray Houser. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Mooresboro.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Vicky Cromer Jones and her husband Davey, of Mooresboro; a brother, Terry Houser, Sr.; her grandchildren, Lesly Jones Gibbon and her husband Andy, and Emily Cromer Macon and her husband Daniel; her great grandchildren, Jace Gibbon, Hudson Gibbon, Adyline Macon, Parker Macon and Dani Joy Macon; and her lifelong friends, Jerene Landreth and Cricket Rollins.
A Private Graveside Service will be conducted at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to express their gratitude and a heart felt thanks to the nurses and staff at the Hospice Wendover House of Shelby, Betty's other family and caregivers for the past two years.
