Bertha Mae Ramsey Hutchins, 96

Bertha Mae Buff Ramsey Hutchins, 96 of Rutherfordton died Sunday, August 9, 2020.
The daughter of the late Frank D. Buff and Mammie Hill Buff. Also preceded in death by first husband John Crawford Ramsey; second husband Elbert Hutchins; daughter, Joyce Lovelace; sons, Herman and John C. "Jay" Ramsey and wife Linda. Siblings, Evelyn Bradley and Bryson Buff; one grandchild and one step great great grandchild. Bertha was a founding member of Cooper Springs Congregational Holiness Church.
She is survived by daughters, Bernice Kaut of Spindale, Mae Freeman (Alfred), Carolyn Brackett (Johnny), of Forest City. Loyce Snider (Sidney) of Rutherfordton; son, David Ramsey (Diane) of Sunshine. Three Stepdaughters, Patricia Rhodes (Clyde), of Forest City. Kathy Corazza (Fred) of Delaware, Debbie Cordery (Stan) of Rutherfordton, a stepson, Larry Hutchins (Jewel) of Forest City; her foster brother, Junior McFarland (Brenda) of Forest City; 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, 2 step great great grandchildren.
Funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Cooper Springs Congregational Holiness Church. Rev. Allen Terry and Rev. Gene Crain officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Anthony Haulk, Chris Haulk, John Brackett, Jr., Steven Houser, Eric Arrowood, and Gilbert Ramsey.
Visitation from 12 pm until 2 pm Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
