Beatrice Hennessee McFarland, 89
Mrs. Beatrice Hennessee McFarland, 89, of Ellenboro, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Beacon Place in Greensboro.
She was the widow of Guy McFarland, and a daughter of the late Will and Manilla Hunt Hennessee. She was also preceded in death by her son, Phillip Keith McFarland; her brother, Dewey Hennessee; and her sister, Margaret Vincent. Beatrice was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and worked for many years as a vending hostess at the J.C. Cowan plant for Scott Vending Company.
She is survived by her son, Gary McFarland and wife Pam, of Whitsett; her brother, Hugh Hennessee of Shallotte; her 4 grandchildren, Beth Cooke, Megan Burhenn, Jamie McGinnis, and Mark McFarland; a great grandchild, Georgia Rae McGinnis; her daughter-in-law, Janice McFarland of Ellenboro; and her sisters-in-law, Susie Hennessee of Sunshine, and Sylvia McFarland of Mooresville.
A Private Graveside Service will be held in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Beatrice will lie in state at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home from 11 am until 4 pm Friday, March 27, 2020 for friends who would like to come by and sign the register book.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, PO Box 633, Ellenboro, NC 28040 or Beacon Place, 2502 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
