Aurora Edith Padgett, 59, of Ellenboro, died Sunday, October 3, 2021.

Aurora was the wife of Rev. Terry Padgett, who died on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nicolasa E. Mitchell. She was a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church, where she could be found working in the nursery most Sundays.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Padgett Cook and her fiancee Jacob Mincey, of Kings Mountain, Dawn Wishion and her husband Tommy, of Ellenboro; her son, James Padgett and Mary Anne Campfield of Ellenboro; her grandchildren, Morgan Padgett, Victoria Padgett, Madison Wishion and his fiancee Mackenzie Thompson, and Rocky Wishion; her siblings, Minerva E. Torres, Nicolas Torres, Wilberto Collin, Carlos Mitchell, and Hermelinda E. Mitchell.

A Memorial Service will be conducted for Aurora and her husband Terry at 11 am Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Piney Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Matt Mills will officiate.
