Annie Marie Pope

Mrs. Annie Marie Greene Pope, 83, of Bostic, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Fair Haven Home, Bostic.
She was the widow of John Landrum Pope, and a daughter of the late Earl and Cleo Guffey Greene. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Howard Greene and Grover F. Greene, and a stepson, Steve Pope. She was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church.
She is survived by five sisters, Doris Gowan, Shirley Bradley, and Helen Matheny, all of Forest City, Judy Street of Rutherfordton, and Daisy Greene of Caroleen; two brothers, Johnny Greene of Forest City, and Jerry Greene of Idaho; a stepdaughter, Waynette Wells of Sandy Mush; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sandy Level Baptist Church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jody Gowan, Joe Bradley, Sam Greene, Frankie Greene, Reggie Carpenter, and Bobby Matheny.
The Visitation will be from 1:45 pm until 2:45 pm Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family extends their thanks to all of the staff at Fair Haven Home, Bostic, especially 1st shift nurse Kayla Pruett, and all of the Hospice staff for their kindness and care.
