Anne Ayers, 82

Mrs. Anne Ayers, 82, of Bostic, died Sunday, March 6, 2016.
Anne was the daughter of the late George Lafayette and Vestie McBee Swofford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Jack Harris; a son-in-law, Joe Waters; and  7 brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Lox Ayers; two daughters, Judy Thomas and her husband Dave, of Zebulon, and Marilyn Waters of Bostic; a son, John Harris of Forest City; 2 brothers, Paul Swofford and his wife Sybil of Sun City, FL, and Clyde Swofford of Marion; two sisters, Nell Grindstaff of Smithville, MO, and Shirley Rorer and her husband Russell of Dunn; brothers-in-law Sherrill Ayers and Max "Pete" Ayers both of Bostic, Ray Ayers of Satellite Beach, FL, Jim Ayers and his wife Mary of Rutherfordton; sisters-in-law Emma Sue Ayers of Ellenboro, and Linda Eacho of Bostic; there are 4 grandchildren, Dawn Bowen and her husband Mitch, Bethany Greene, and Jason Harris of Forest City, and Chad Humphries of Edgefield, SC; 6 great grandchildren, Austin Bowen, Trevor Greene, Avery Bowen, Hannah Spicer, Tyler Humphries, and Gavin Harris.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. The Rev. Paul White, Jr. and Michelle Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Trevor Greene, Dennis Hurdt, Austin Hurdt, Mitchell Bowen, Avery Bowen, Jason Harris, and Jim Ayers; Gavin Harris will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
The Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:45 pm Wednesday at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church prior to the service, and at other times will gather at the residence of Marilyn Waters at 1060 Mt. Lebanon Church Road, Bostic.
