Alfred Webb Melton

Mr. Alfred Webb Melton, 90, of Eastview Drive, Bostic died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Hospice House, Forest City.
He was the son of the late Julius and Bessie Bridges Melton, and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Oliver, Furman, Johnnie, Roscoe, Edgar and J.B. Melton; his sisters, Mae Green, Annie Dobbins, and Glennie Jones. He was a long time member of Walls Baptist Church where he was a member of the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School Class. He was a WWII Army Veteran and retired from Stonecutter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Tewie Bradley Melton; his daughter, Shirley Rhyne Walker of Ellenboro; two grandchildren, Robin and Todd Rhyne, both of Ellenboro; one great grandchild, Dylan Green of Ellenboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Walls Baptist Church. Rev. David Philbeck, Rev. Cecil Ballard, and Dr. Robert Toney will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
The Visitation will be from 12:45 PM until 1:45 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
