Adam Kyle Tipton, 36
Adam Kyle Tipton, 36, of Ellenboro, died Monday, June 10, 2024 from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Adam was a retired US Army Sergeant who served two tours in Afghanistan. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Margie Gettys; and his paternal grandfather, Charles Tipton.
He is survived by his daughters, Kagen,and Saihla Tipton; his son, Kaine Tipton; his parents, Wayne and Patricia Tipton; his paternal grandmother, Reba Poteat; his brother, Dr. Matthew Tipton and his wife Julia; his uncles, Franklin Gettys and his wife Tina, Stephen Gettys and his wife Dana, Jimmy Tipton and his wife Teresa, and Scott Tipton.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, June 14, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ronald Roberts will officiate. The Rutherford County Honor Guard will render Military Rites for the service.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
Honoring Adam's generous wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through organ donation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Lifeshare Carolinas, 3621 Randolph Road, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28211.
